Is There a Dialogue in the Play?
There's this kind of indefinite nature of the waiting that is also figured by the emptiness of the space around them, right? And that lends itself to many different interpretations. One of the things that defines the dialogue in display is that it just goes in circles. As the reader, you get really frustrated with it. They lose track of their own dialogue at multiple times. Are like, what are we talking about again? I forgot what we were just saying. So the dia ends in abrupt way. Sometimes it re begins, and sometimes it just goes off the deep end where you don't really know what they're referring to.
