Giles says he's disturbed by how long it takes the obstacles still in front of getting wind farms developed and even solar farms. New South Wales will have to build a whole lot of new transmission just like everyone in the east has to do, writes Giles. The first bit of transmission infrastructure for that particular program won't be in operation before 2027 said Giles. He also thinks Labor is sending out the wrong message which is about we've got to keep the lights on but this probably means keeping a roaring going as well.
