The Power of the Voices

The voices I was hearing were a meaningful response to traumatic life events. As such they were not my enemies, but a source of insight into solvable emotional problems. A crucial first step was learning to separate out us in metaphorical meaning from what I previously interpreted to be a literal truth. This talk is absolutely not enough time to fully credit all those good and generous people who fought with me and for me,. But together, they formed a blend of courage, creativity, integrity, and an unshakable belief that my shattered self could become healed and whole.
