Pope Francis has been very public in his continued overtures to Moscow. He's taken a fair bit of criticism on the world stage for appearing to equivocate or, you know, not sufficiently condemn the injustice of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, the Holy See has been very clear that Ukraine's right to self-defense is real and it is an innate right.
