The Tanks of the First World War
In 19 17, tanks become very important in the last hundred days. They enable a level of mobility that has not been afforded up until that point. But mechanical failure is one of the big problems for something which has been hustled into action before it's quite ready. It looks great on paper, but the practicalitys of kind of operating when your stuff around are completely bomb damaged landscape. You know, once that happens you're sort of stuck, as you can't move. And what you see throughout 19 17 is this way forward - so much so that the germans do start to create their own tank arc. So i think everyone's tinking back and trying to re-build
