Introduction

Re defining success as a leader is one of the most challenging, vexing, difficult tasks i know. It drives people to therapy, cause them to drive their bodies into the ground and lose their joy in jesus. But there really are two idols that set themselves up in our culture a that warp at least god's definition of success. And these two idols have set themselves up firmly in the church, in our leadership cultures. They're so subtle, theyre so insidious, that theyr it can seem almost impossible to tear down, those idols and live freely in jesUS.
