The idea behind using the cytoxin is that along with GCSF, the GCFF, in some cases, can cleave CXCR4, which is on stem cells. And when you're cleaving that, then you have more stem cells that can then leave the marrow. Basically, cytoxin amplifies that process and so it releases proteases that can also cleave CxCR4 among other adhesion molecules.
