The toy distributor, Yonee Zawa Shokai displays this bomber at a 1951 toy fair in New York and people immediately place orders for hundreds of thousands of these planes. They eventually sell close to a million toy B 29 bombers in the US alone. And things like this are a huge part of why the tin toy industry blows up from eight million yen per year in 1947 to eight billion yen per year by 1955.
