The White Way of Knowing and the Black Way of Learning

In your book, you make the claim that there's a white epistemology and black. And this runs counter to the long tradition of studying knowledge, right? Someone like John Locke would say, human beings are all the same; we acquire knowledge through our senses or someone like Descartes would say, we acquire knowledge by using reasoning. That this idea that different people or different types of people or categories of people would have different ways of knowing might seem really foreign to them.
