The Holy Roman Empire and the Reformation

In order to understand the holy roman empire, you have to really understand how it worked. The best way to describe it is kind of like a federation that looked to the emperor. But even by the 16 hundreds, that wasn't really true any more. So what followed then was the counter reformation. And yet, we can, of course, get into that and everything else - but there's so much, is so many balls in the air at this point,. Like trying to juggle them all, to explain it, is very difficult.
