Law schools are one of the few avenues of higher education in america which not only have objective test standards to get in, they also have objective exam standards to get out. Soel was trying to determine if l s a t scores predict success in law school and in passing the bar exam. There has been a movement in higher education over the past few decades to get rid of all types of entrance exams because they offer no predictive value as to how students will perform academically later on. As i was preparing this episode, an astonishing announcement came out of the massachusetts institute of technology, to bring back the s a t exam.
