A Prayer for Deliverance From the Time of Testing and the Evil One
The final petition is a prayer for deliverance from the time of testing and the evil one. Some manuscripts conclude the prayer with a doxology, as do many of the ways in which we pray it within the life of the church. The more that we do our actions in a way that seen by other people, the more we will find the gravity of that audience drawing us away from god himself. How can we perform a righteousness that is driven by the desire to please god above all others?
