The Coclear Implant in Plant Cells
A typical cocleor implant has about 20 or 30 electrodes that are threaded into the coclea. And you can stimulate those different electrodes according to the frequency thas supposed to be there, and cause the auditory neurons to fire. That situation is very stable mically, and people are able to carry on conversations and talk on the phone and so forth. But the brain still's got to have a lot more information to work with to get some i think a typical coclias tonotopic, which means that different positions respond to different frequencies.
