Synesthetes Have a Better Memory
The guy that memorized all the numbers of Pi probably has synesthesia. He happens to have a fivefold synesthesia. For him, each number has a number, a color, a size, personality, and a gender. And so when he's memorizing 3.1415, there's a whole story landscape going on That's what it is. It's you know, you don't get to choose whether to see the color or the feel the taste in your mouth or the feeling on your fingertips. Exactly.
