I go for the main keywords, and usually they're already fairly long tail. I'd be pretty happy finding something like that that I think is a good topic for the site. And then I'll just sort of read online about the topic and come up with more ideas that will really build out the series for that. My sites are actually fairly broad within a sector, but then for the various topics, I go very, very deep.
