In 1901, his firm gets bought by another company and he makes a bunch of money. He leaves in 1995 in order to set up another lobbying firm more focused on overseas dealers. By 2005, Paul Maniford is known as the guy if you were a shady dictator or criminal looking to improve your image abroad. This led him to Ukraine and the employee of its wealthiest citizen named Renat Akmatov. It turned out Akmatov was a friend of this guy, Victor Yunukovic, who was really in a bit of a pickle.
