Electric Airplanes - The New Normal for Regional Flights

A company in Sweden has been working on an electric airplane called the E S 19. It was designed to be a 19 passenger airplane entirely powered, but with batteries. Air Canada, Mesa or Mesa, M E S A United Airlines here in the U.S. and Air New Zealand are among them who have either put in actual purchase orders for these airplanes. The range is 200 kilometers right now if you're going to use the batteries. There is a liquid fuel reserve, essentially, so you can double the range with this type of plane.
