The Importance of Web Components in the Browser
Most frameworks that are used today provide some sort of a mechanism or another to define your own element but these elements actually don't make it all the way to the html so if you're using react and you're creating React. components there's no trace of those custom tags when you look at the actualhtml that gets rendered by react. chrome now has a version of doing server-side rendering together with custom elements so having a declarative shadow DOM approach coming to chrome in the next releases, i will post a link to the street in the show notes.
