Then the Spirit Takes Jesus Into the Wilderness

The Spirit is what drew Jesus into the wilderness. A place of purification and preparation, as wildernesses typically are. Even after your baptism there will remain periods of purification to undergo. So keep coming into the wilderness as often as you need. Keep passing tests that will inexorably come your way. That's step four in the fourth article of faith. Receive the Holy Ghost. But as soon as Jesus is filled with the Spirit, he returned from Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,. being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing, and when they were ended he afterward hungered.
