The Single Biggest Risk Factor for Post-Op AKI Is Contrast

The single biggest risk factor for post-op AKI is pre-op chronic renal insubiciency. We often, one cause or purported cause of AKI that we haven't talked about is contrast. There are soft sets of patients who we want to avoid the contrast. Other than imaging patients, we can help them pre-operatively, a pre-contrast and then they should get contrast.
