The Worst Field Trip Ever

When he was in high school I joined the forensic science club. The teacher promised a field trip to the country's coroner's office which would include a tour of the morgue. We'd been warned that we were going to be seeing some pretty graphic stuff and despite having already collected permission slips the teacher wanted to give us one more chance to back out while we still had the chance. Not a single person would have remained on that bus. It made me think how fragile we are as people. There is so much that can go wrong with our bodies. Honestly it is kind of a miracle we can even get out of bed in the morning.
