Trauma and Trauma in the Hospital
I wanted to sit with those questions of how an injury did and did not echo outside of the events space of the hospital. I think about a person who got very deeply involved with a court case that just continues to stretch on, trying to bring to justice or some version of it. This is intensely gendered in South Asia and elsewhere. The idea that certain spaces are offered for men to process, that not for women. And so if thought in terms of movement, one could see the ways that the injury did anddid not appear again when people talked about disability.
