The Origins of Inspiration in the Bible

I believe that we have the Bible God wanted us to have. That doesn't mean that there were no editors involved. It means that any editorial process, any bringing together of texts is likewise under the guiding control of God's spirit. And I think part of the difficulty that people have had is because they have a theory of inspiration that demands that there was this person who got zapped by God, wrote the whole thing. We just don't know. But clearly there seems to be historical evidence for Daniel figure in Babylon in the time of the exile.
