There's something really psychologically uncomfortable for us in trying to live in a world in which there isn't anything higher than us. The new religion of the machine is precisely this vision of kind of Ray Kurtz vials singularity you know it's the technological, the the technom is going to save us. We've created a really weird demonic version of the Christian story in which we still get to go to heaven we still getting to live forever. Well, obviously the only God is us and we design it all ourselves and it's we've still got a soul, but somehow we can upload this soul into a silicon chip.
