The First Step Is Fundamentally Important

The first step is a surrender. That's the sequence, I would say. The two things are totally outmatched. And then this surrender isn't like the surrender we would picture in our head, you know, standing on a cliff with adoring girlfriends and past girlfriends watching our great surrendering. No, it's you go to work, you do the inventory. It's a basic inventory. You're just basically looking at the common manifestations of that which has defeated us, which is self. Simple, very simple yet that's the beginning.
