What Aboutism and Bad Faith Arguments?

A bad faith argument, as I understand it, is just like basically someone making an argument that they don't believe in. They're playing the devil's advocate instead of addressing the issues or values head ons. My favorite is when BP is like, sure, we emit a lot of oil, but don't you have a gas-doping out? Yes. Do you people also have carbon footprints? So yeah. It's very sophomoric.
