The Warm Water in the Amazon Sea

Most of the ice losses happening in the Amazon Sea, which is where Thwaites Glacier is. In that region, the ice is really not melted by the atmosphere. It's all melted by the ocean. So we know if something's changing in that region, we know it must have been the ocean that caused this change. The big question right now is why is the warm water there? And why is there more of it than there has been in the past?
