How I Met Pete McGwigan After I Left the State
I was at the point where I'd written a rough draft of what became the book and it was really the first three parts of the book. In Los Angeles I was wary of being one of those people which the city is full of who say they do this when they don't really do that. So I kept it more or less to myself. My real friends knew what I was up to but I didn't know what to do next. And then DV came in with Sweeney one night and he was sweet enough to read it and he liked it and he sort of brought the book to Sweeney's attention - Sweeney hadn't read it. Anyway Sweeney introduced me to Peter McGwigan
