What John Mill Did to the Christian Faith
The first time there were a number of manuscripts that were examined and compared was in 1707. A man by the name of john mill, who spent his entire academic career at Oxford University produced a huge volume listing 30,000 textual variants among the witnesses. Peter Gurri: There's about 500,000 different variants but he doesn't count spelling errors or nonsense readings. So, one and a half million differences among the manuscripts.
