Parenting Styles: Chaos, Rigidity and Integration

A neglectful parent is not listening to a parenting podcast on raising good humans. Then there's the permissive parent. This parent is incredibly sensitive. They don't want their child to feel any disharmony or discomfort, but they have a very hard time with boundaries and expectations. There's authoritarian parenting. This is on the other side of the extreme where permissive is more chaotic and allows for the child to kind of rule the show. And finally, there's authoritative parenting. On average kids who are raised with an authoritative parenting style tend to have better social, emotional and cognitive outcomes. The hope is just that you think of it as a north star to help you make clear decisions when
