The Role of Advertising in the American Dream
The movie is also interested in discussing the role that advertising played in the creation of that world. Like, how advertising built the American dream basically or at least like visualized for us what it was supposed to look like. So I feel like somewhere in there is how it is able to kind of have its cake and eat it too. The movie's not accusing any of us of creating that system. It's just it is just the system. We are all awash in just like Truman is and he's trying to rose way out.
