A lawyer from the US Department of Justice said that out of 58,000 trade titles published every year, half sell only a dozen copies or less. NPD books group analyst Kristin McLean: "We actually don't know where this number comes from" The DOJ is trying to stop Penguin Random House's plan to buy Simon & Schuster.
