Is There a Leading Idea for Making Hot Jupiters?

There's always somebody still working on that question, or have scientists pretty much decided like, ok, this is not the answer? But i don't thinkht it's a main street midea. There's some evidence that what we're looking at are really young solar systems - they haven't been around for very long. And so explanation for how hot jupiters even exist is that they're going to be absorbed by the star and basically just become part of the star. That's the leading explanation for why we are seeing hot Jupiters in other solar systems. We don't have it currently in the inner solar system. So then ire's this question of likaw
