The Dogstone
The Dogstone, or clack-a-carnes that's called in Gallic, is a sea stack. It's an old sea stack that sits on a raised beach. And as you said, it's got this legend associated with it. That thingle, the Celtic hero of mythology, tied his dog to it. His dog was called Bran, and Bran was tied to the stone. The reason that the stone is worn away at the bottom here is because of Bran's chain.
