Chekovsky's Folk Dance
The violin is given harmonics to play, meaning they don't put their left hand cut down completely on the fingerboard. This allows for a much more natural transition to that nostalgic third theme. In the coda Chekovsky combines his Bump-ter-rump-pump motif with a tune of the B section. The two dances are coming together, and with an absolutely thrilling crescendo the orchestra almost begins to outrun the violin itself.
