If your profession is to deceive and manipulate people through controlling their perceptions of situations, that is automatically going to come across to most women as sociopath or psychopath. Women tend to like guys who are kind of straightforward and honest. A magician is sort of giving off all the cues that are the opposite of that. Plus, unless you're actually booked full time in Vegas, it doesn't pay that well.
