Sorrows of Young Verethar was influential for centuries because it spoke to something about the human condition that a lot of people were going through. A lot of minors have taken turns that ruin their lives through literature that was either politically awful, religiously awful, or encouraged violence of a military or other sort. It's the problem of defining danger down and where is the balance.
