The Dewey Decimal System in the Anglosphere
The same problem I outlined in the 400s also shows up in other regions of the system. There's this weird issue with fiction that I haven't seen discussed in a lot of other places. The Dewey Decimal system is widely adopted and just kind of becomes the default, especially in the states. How does this all link back to Outlay? Dewey and Outlay were both concerned with the organization of knowledge.
