CVVH - What Are Our Overarching Goals?

CVVH is not an end point. Patients cannot go home on CVVH. If it stops being a bridge to something, then the risks of CVVH outweigh any benefits. The risks of losing blood due to clotting and line infection or line clotting are all real risks. Unless you're getting true benefit from CVVH, meaning your sepsis is improving... there is no longer benefit for CVVH unless those things are happening.
