The Importance of Friendships in American Culture
In modern culture, I would say it's very much driven by American values. And so to me, for the boys I've interviewed I'm definitely talking about American society. The idea that somehow being a man and being an adult is not showing the world's offside. So we really do perpetuate in one aspect this notion of maturity and adulthood, and certainly masculinity. That's only half of our humanity, our hard side and not the other side.
