The Majority of Mankind Will Not Irrevocably Say No to God
Benedict the sixteenth hints at this when he wrote spersalvi. He mentions in spera that the vast majority of mankind seem to be disposed to god. But there is a minority who will not need any kind of purgation, and they may even have an informal union with the church. We may be quite surprised at who we see in heaven.
