Is This Really a Waste of Money?

It looks like a colossus, like you'd see and, you know, ancient rome or something. This is a lot like new york state saying, we're going to move this statue of liberty to a different island, five miles away. It's also strange, because i wonder if there is any sort of domestic controversy around it. Does this ancient war god have any kind of troublesome political implication that the chinese government is very sensitive to? So, no not not that i've not read.
