The Debate on Expanding the Court
The Supreme Court's jurisdiction can be legislated on the appellate side, not its original jurisdiction. FDR tried to do that in 1938 with court packing and got blown out. That number has not changed since the Civil War when it was manipulated politically. The number nine has been the same since the 1860s.
