The Relevance of Rawls to Politics
I first encountered Rawls as an undergraduate studying the history of political thought at Cambridge. I don't think I particularly saw his relevance to politics as it was then or particularly today. But my feeling that his ideas really did have the answers that we need today came later. Around post Trump around that time actually read Piketty's capital in the 21st century had decided to go back to university and study for a PhD in economics. So I think it was around that period that I saw the need for ideas like Rawls'
