The Importance of Social Class in American Society

Joshua: I observe especially in the US American society is that we live in an increasing separation between social classes. Charles Murray's book called coming apart the state of white America from 1960 to 2010 something like that was a good starting point for me, he says. In 1960 white Americans in the United States were a very homogenous group where the classes were very close to each other and if you went out to eat in 1960 the the menu would be different depending on whether or not your family came from Fargo North Dakota.
