We're not dealing with this eschatological issue because it's just one of our pet peeves. It's we do so because it has culture implications. Ideas have consequences. The book of Acts substantiates so much of the of the New Testament era and gives us some indication of what was going on with all that. This is prophetic inevitability. And use and using that secular eschatology in order to impose their world view on us today in the present.
