Weighing the Soul? (Scientific evidence for the human soul? Spirit? Life after death?)
Jimmy Akin's Mysterious World
The Soul's Weight Loss
McDougall found that the soul weighs 21 grams or about as much as a slice of bread, although it would be a small slice. At the end of three hours and 40 minutes he expired and suddenly coincident with death, the beam end dropped with an audible stroke hitting against the lower limiting bar. The loss was ascertained to be three fourths of an ounce. Three quarters of an ounce is 21.3 grams in metric and this became a famous number.
