"I just wanted there's all these beautiful huge close-ups of like Oppenheimer's face or something and it's a stunning performance from Kelly and Murphy but it just feels like the like Nolan is only invested in facts," he says. "There's no moment where it just slows down long enough for me to feel what Oppenheimers feeling or sit with what he's experienced" He adds that while some things are connected, not everything is connected so you can't rewrite history without leaving out significantly more loose threats than they actually exist.
