The Evolution of HTTP

The protocol was developed in the 1990s by scientists to share data between their servers. In 2005, Google and others started pushing for faster page load times because they were worried about congestion control on their sites. The most recent example of this is AI adaptive MDX which increases speed as you go from 1-2 packets per second to 3 or 4 over a period of time.
