Simon: If Eric Weinstein had spent the past 30 years being able to be funded by the government working on what his idea was, maybe in the year 2023, we would be where we are. He's saying that the orthodoxy will never open up the door for us to do this because they are purposely trying to not let these ideas through. I just don't see why that's so unbelievable to you. Simon: It's very believable to me that as a taxpayer, I wouldn't want the government writing someone like this guy a blank fucking check just because he feels like for sure he's right.
